Air Future branded passenger aircraft with magenta and white livery flying above the clouds.

Air Future is a premium full-service airline concept created to explore what a forward-looking flag carrier from Türkiye could look and feel like. From the outset, the ambition was larger than creating an airline logo: it was to build a brand capable of operating across domestic and international travel while bringing together comfort, premium service and a global outlook. The original positioning focused on business and leisure travellers seeking an elevated travel experience, supported by the expectations of a full-service carrier.

The name is rooted in the idea of “İstikbal göklerdedir” — “The future is in the skies.” The word istikbal, meaning future, became the foundation for Air Future and gave the brand a natural connection between Türkiye, aviation and progress. Rather than relying on familiar national symbols, the identity looks at Turkish cultural references and aviation itself through a contemporary lens.

At the centre of the visual identity is a symbol built from the letters A and F, the geometry of an aircraft’s horizontal stabiliser and the silhouette of an eagle — a reference to strength, the sky and its place within Turkish cultural symbolism. These elements come together through negative space to create a mark that feels both aerodynamic and distinctive.

From this foundation, Air Future evolved into a broader brand system spanning typography, colour, iconography, digital experiences, airport environments, onboard touchpoints, campaign communication and aircraft livery. The identity is designed to remain coherent across every stage of the journey — from the first notification on a passenger’s phone to the aircraft itself.

At the heart of the system is a simple idea: A More Open World. Air Future is imagined not only as a way of moving between destinations, but as a brand that brings people, places and possibilities closer together — from Türkiye, to what’s next.

Air Future is a student concept project originally created as part of the Visual Communication Design Studio I course and later expanded into a self-directed brand case study.
